Corporate sound baths
I worked in the corporate sector for over two decades, in senior positions at blue chip companies, including Rolls-Royce, Christie’s auction house and two private banks, and am very aware of the stresses and challenges in that environment. Thankfully, most companies are waking up to the need to put staff wellbeing at the forefront of their purpose and agenda.
Regular Sound Baths can help with the retention, health, wellness, motivation, and morale of your staff, as well as being a nice reason to come to the office in these days of hybrid working.
I offer group sessions in corporate environments, using a variety of sound healing instruments.
A healthy and happy workforce is a productive one and reduces the likelihood of staff retention issues and absences via illness. Looking after staff welfare via wellbeing programmes and support during mental health and stress awareness weeks for example, is also a core tenet of many companies these days.
With hybrid working arrangements in vogue now these events are also a great opportunity for staff to meet in person which is also an added benefit for their mental health.
The term sound bath is a reference to the healing sounds of the voice and instruments washing over people whilst they are listening (usually lying down but sitting too occasionally). Its a deep meditative experience. The use of sound as a healing therapy is an ancient wisdom that has been practiced throughout many countries and traditions for centuries and has been undertaking a significant resurgence recently; it is very much in the zeitgeist now alongside such practices as yoga and meditation.
Sound baths last around an hour and I use an assortment of instruments-gongs, Tibetan singing bowls, my voice, chimes, rain sticks, sometimes a Shriti box and a drum.
Some of the many benefits are the potential of stress reduction, enhanced mental health wellbeing, a deep sense of relaxation, realigning one's nervous system, calming the mental chatter/thought loops and helping people to feel more relaxed and re-energised.
Sound baths for wellbeing
I use a variety of sound healing tools including Tibetan singing bowls, gongs, the shruti box, rattles, rain sticks and drums. But perhaps for me, the most powerful instrument I use is my voice.
I can customise sessions to suit your particular needs and timescales; anything from a 45-minute sound bath during a lunch break, to a longer end of the day, session to help unwind and relax after a busy day at work.
